Introduction -

Kazuya Mishima is a character in the Tekken series. Kazuya has been featured in Tekken, Tekken 2, Tekken Tag Tournament, Tekken 4, Tekken 5, and Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection. Also, Kazuya has been confirmed to be in Tekken 6.
Kazuya Mishima is the son of
Heihachi Mishima, and the grandson of Jinpachi Mishima. He is also the father of Jin Kazama and occasional partner of Jun Kazama (they share an awkward relationship, in which was never fully explained by Namco themselves.). He also has an adopted brother named Lee Chaolan, who Kazuya has never liked and shares a rivalry with.
It also appears that when Kazuya was a child, he had a special bond with his grandfather. He respected Jinpachi more than his father. It is also assumed that Jinpachi could have been responsible for the original form of the
Devil Gene. It appears that only this Gene is passed down through Grandsons, in this case Kazuya Mishima, and Jin Kazama, Jinpachi's great grandson. Heihachi cannot attain the Devil Gene if this is true, but overall he is supposedly as strong as the ones that have the Devil Gene, which is quite possible, considering the extreme amounts of physical damage he has survived in the past. Due to genetics it could be assumed that Heihachi is a 'black sheep' of sorts, in that the gene for devil control skipped a generation, such as the genetics for black colored sheep do.

When Kazuya's name is written in Japanese, it's translated as 三島 一八(Mishima Kazuya) or みしま かずや(Mishima Kazuya)
Kazuya got 八(hachi or pachi or ya) from 平八(Heihachi) of a name of father and followed 一(ichi or kazu) which meant a beginning because it was the eldest son. The notation that 一八 is rare in Japan. Two numbers continue. 一 is 1. 八 is 8. However, his name is also an anagram of the word "Yakuza", which befits his personality and choice of dress.

Analysis of Kazuya

In the original entry to the Tekken franchise, Kazuya was considered to be the primary protagonist. And for all intents and purposes, there was no reason to believe differently. According to differing sources (such as Tekken: The Motion Picture and a brief scene in Ling Xiaoyu's Tekken 5 ending), Kazuya was actually quite frail and timid as a boy and was the victim of years of abuse at the hands of Heihachi. Indeed, Kazuya originally entered the first Rave War/King of Iron Fist Tournament in order to face off against his father, who was played up to be a corrupt corporate tyrant. Kazuya's clothing of choice--simple white pants) and red gloves and footpads--even helped to draw parallels to another "mysterious loner" hero--Street Fighter's Ryu. So most people (both within the game and in real life), simply wrote Kazuya off as the cliché fighting game hero.
There was only one clue as to Kazuya's true intents and nature: His secret PS One palette swap, which turned out to be
Devil.

Tekken 2 saw Kazuya's true nature revealed in full. After killing his father (or so he thought), instead of bringing justice to the Mishima Zaibatsu and righting the wrongs of his father, Kazuya repeated the corrupt practices of his father and turned it into an even more ruthless organization. While Heihachi was merely ruthless, Kazuya was absolutely without conscience. He hired assassins to eliminate any of his critics or rivals (such as the father of Eddy Gordo), he attempted to extort money from several businesses and organizations, and he even smuggled endangered species and conducted genetic experiments on them (Alex and Roger). Of course, the reason for his evil deeds was because he had sold his soul to Devil all those years ago, and had allowed his hatred for Heihachi to consume him. Kazuya still had good within him (as represented by Angel), which constantly battled his evil side, and this would turn out to be his downfall. Heihachi managed to take advantage of his son's confusion caused by this internal war and defeated him in the second King of Iron First Tournament. Kazuya was then thrown into a volcano and killed, while the Devil in his body escaped and eventually made contact with Kazuya's son, who succeeded his father as the series' new protagonist.

Of course, G Corporation eventually located Kazuya's remains and confiscated them. At this point, they regenerated Kazuya's body and then Kazuya made a deal to remain hidden within G Corporation's labs and be tested on. Kazuya had learned from his mistakes. The next time he faced Heihachi, he wanted to be in full control of his Devil powers. Of course, this plan did not go as Kazuya intended; Heihachi ruined it by invading G Corporation and stealing their research.
Since his original appearance, Kazuya's character has gone through many transformations: From hero, to villain, to anti-hero and back again. Whatever was left of his good side appears to be totally suppressed by his Devil persona. Kazuya no longer fights against his darker side, and the two seem to have come to mutual terms, as Kazuya can call upon Devil whenever he likes now (such as in his Tekken 5 introduction). This makes him one of the more unique protagonists in fighting games and makes him quite popular amongst Tekken fans.

Trivia
Kazuya is easily considered to be one of Tekken's most beloved characters, due to his character uniqueness.

Many Tekken fans believed that the early sketches of Jin Kazama for Tekken 3 were Kazuya Mishima in his teen years, due to their similarities. This, however, was not the case.
Because Kazuya Mishima was not featured in Tekken 3, many fans believed that Namco were going to kill off the character completely (much like how they have with
Jun Kazama who has only appeared in two games). This created a loud outcry amongst the fans, who wanted Kazuya to return to the series. Ironically, it was his character uniqueness and popularity that made Namco revive Kazuya in the first place.

In Tekken Tag Tournament, by choosing Kazuya and Devil together and tagging in either character during the match results in Kazuya's transformation into Devil, and vice versa.
Since
Tekken 4, Kazuya has been voiced by Toshiyuki Morikawa
In Tekken 2, because of the intimate meeting with Jun, there is speculation to whether or not the meeting was consensual. Also because of this, they could possibly have an awkward relationship.
The name Kazuya is an anagram of the word Yakuza, which is the name of the Japanese Mafia.
It is often believed that Kazuya is a homage to Dragonball Z's Vegeta character, since the two characters have many distinguishing similarities, in concern of their character traits, their attitudes, and their personalities. Also, their physical appearance (most noticeably their hair styles) are similar also, though Namco has not confirmed whether or not Kazuya is a homage or was inspired by Vegeta.

Kazuya's sub-bosses include Lee Chaolan, Roger, Heihachi Mishima, and Raven.
In
Tekken 2, Kazuya's stage is "Darkness Temple".
Two of his childhood memories were seen in
Tekken 5. His special bonding with his grandfather Jinpachi Mishima in his ending and a few seconds before he was thrown into a ravine by his father Heihachi in Ling Xiaoyu's ending.
Kazuya's name translated from Japanese to English is "Mishima one."
Kazuya was the third stage boss for Tekken 4's Tekken Force mini-game. This stage was known as the "Corridor."
The kanji for the Mishima style translates into "Mishima style quarrel karate reforming."

Tekken 1 - Version 1

Tekken 1 Kazuya Mishima.
Cold blooded son of a distinguished family. Oldest son of Heihachi Mishima, head of the
Mishima Zaibatsu, sponsor of the tournament. His participation in this tournament is for the purpose of causing a world scale coup d'etat after causing the death of his father. The scar on his chest was caused by his father's dropping him into a trench at the age of five.

Version 2
Kazuya is a scuffle Karate Fighter with an even temperament and a cool head. He's the legitimate heir to the Mishima financial empire, he was banished by his father for a crime he did not commit. In their final battle, he was left to die by his father and he still bears the scar on his chest as a constant reminder. He wishes to use the tournament winnings to finance the overthrow of his father's forces. After defeating his father, Heihachi Mishima, Kazuya assumes control over the entire Mishima Zaibatsu. His first act as the head of the Mishima Zaibatsu was to take his father's supposed lifeless body and throw it off the same cliff he was thrown off by his father so many years ago.

Tekken 2 -Kazuya defends his position as leader of the Mishima conglomerate. Kazuya defeats Devil in a brutal battle. Disgusted that he could have trusted someone so weak with his life, and impressed with himself in the sense that he defeated a supposed powerful being, Kazuya simply walks away. Devil, however, regains consciousness, and he tries to kill Kazuya with an eye beam, but Heihachi takes the blast in an attempt to save his son. Kazuya stares at Heihachi, who is standing up and not moving very much, for a moment before smiling. Kazuya grabs his father and uses him as a human shield to block Devil's blasts, and once he gets close, he throws Heihachi's lifeless body at Devil, therefore distracting him. When Devil turns around, Kazuya nails Devil with a Dragon Uppercut (one of Kazuya's fighting moves), thus effectively knocking Devil out. Kazuya then smiles victoriously.

Tekken Tag Tournament -Kazuya is featured as a playable character in Tekken Tag Tournament, a non-canonical Tekken game. It appears that Kazuya has defeated Jin Kazama. Kazuya crosses his arms, uncrosses them, and then he starts to walk away. Jin starts transforming into Devil Jin. Kazuya notices this and turns around. Kazuya prepares to fight again. This ending takes place in Ogre's Tekken Tag Tournament stage.

Tekken 4 -Defeated by Heihachi and thrown into the mouth of a volcano twenty years ago, Kazuya was brought back to life by G Corporation, a biotech firm making revolutionary advances in the field of biogenetics research. With G Corporation's aid, Kazuya investigated the mechanism of the Devil Gene that resides within his body by subjecting himself to genetic experiments. Kazuya believed that once he unlocked and controlled the power of the Devil Gene, he would be powerful enough to defeat Heihachi and destroy the Mishima Zaibatsu.
Twenty years later, the Tekken Forces attacked a G Corporation research facility without warning and succeeded in stealing research data for the Mishima Zaibatsu. Kazuya learns that he was also a target in the attack. Infuriated that Heihachi once again ruined his plans, Kazuya is determined to seek his revenge against Heihachi more than ever.
Kazuya instantly recognizes the announcement of The King of Iron Fist Tournament 4 as a trap set by Heihachi to lure him out. Despite this knowledge, Kazuya enters the Tournament. It is his chance to defeat Heihachi.

Tekken 5-Son of Heihachi Mishima and a possessor of the devil gene, Kazuya Mishima...
During the King of Iron Fist Tournament 4, Kazuya suffered a defeat at the hands of Heihachi and later Jin at the Honmaru. When he finally regained consciousness he was surrounded by a Jack-4 squad.
"G Corporation! So they plan to take me out too"
Kazuya teamed with Heihachi to fight off the successive waves of Jacks until he saw his chance and left the Honmaru without Heihachi.
He morphs into a devil and takes flight just as the Honmaru explodes. Kazuya, determined to exact revenge on those who betrayed him, decided to enter the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5.

After defeating Jinpachi Mishima's devil form, Kazuya stands over his grandfather's body and tries to wake him up. Jinpachi awakes, and Kazuya smiles, with a flash of childhood memories flooding back (Jinpachi and Kazuya are said to have been close in Kazuya's early life). Kazuya, however, ruins the moment, when he evilly grins and kills his grandfather, thus turning him into dust. Then, Kazuya laughs.

Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection -Kazuya Mishima's storyline is unchanged between Tekken 5 and Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection

Tekken 6 - Kazuya Mishima has figured out which division of G Corporation was the one that betrayed him and viciously killed them all. Kazuya has now risen to the head of G Corporation in the shadows. The world is now against the Mishima Zaibatsu and Kazuya fuels the fire by leading G Corporation against it. Kazuya can’t stand anyone else conquering the world other than himself so he decides to go against Jin Kazama and the Mishima Zaibatsu. Kazuya realizes that G Corporation is very influential amongst the people of the world now and he announces that anyone who captures Jin Kazama alive will receive a handsome cash reward. Immediately following his announcement, the King of Iron Fist 6 Tournament is announced by the Mishima Zaibatsu. Kazuya predicted this would happen and began to laugh hysterically.

Paul rests his head on one of his hands. Marshall shrugs.

Tekken 3 -The villain that attacked Law's dojo turned out to be Baek Doo San, another martial arts master with a competing dojo. It turns out that he has disappeared along with most of the martial artists from the second tournament, but Law feels pretty safe going on the business trip he had planned. On the other hand, he fears for his son, Forest, who is very mischievous, may get himself into trouble.

Tekken 4- Marshall Law was a successful businessman - he managed a newly established dojo and even owned a nationwide Chinese fast food chain called Marshall China. Unfortunately, he lost a franchise war against a competitor and had to declare bankruptcy a year later.
Unable to deal with his failure, Marshall fell into depression and spent his days at home in a drunken haze. Then one day, a notice for the Tournament arrived at his doorstep. Marshall's eyes flashed with renewed vigor. After a month of intense training, he beat himself back into top physical form.
Something ignited a fire within Marshall. "This is it," he said to himself, "I must place everything on the line for this Tournament and win!" The fire within raged hotter than ever before.

Introduction - Jin Kazama is a character in the Tekken series. Jin has been featured in Tekken 3, Tekken Tag Tournament, Tekken 4, Tekken 5, and Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection. Also, Jin has been confirmed to appear in Tekken 6.
Jin Kazama is the son of Jun Kazama and Kazuya Mishima. In Tekken 5, it is revealed that Jin has a cousin, Asuka Kazama. However, they don't seem to be aware of their relation. During The King of Iron Fist Tournament 2 (which is the setting of the game Tekken 2), Kazuya and Jun crossed paths and were intimate. Jun found herself pregnant with Jin immediately afterwards. The Devil that possessed Kazuya attempted to enter Jin while he was still in the womb, but Jun defeated it. Wishing to raise her son alone, Jun disappeared into a remote mountain location, where she raised Jin and trained him in her Kazama-style self-defense fighting style. After many years, Jun sensed the approaching of a great evil (Ogre) and told Jin that if anything happened to her, that he should seek his grandfather, Heihachi Mishima. Jun's words proved to be prophetic, and some time after Jin's 15th birthday, Jun was attacked by Ogre. Some time later, Jin awoke amongst rubble and searched for his mother, but he could not find her anywhere. Jin swore revenge.

Analysis of Jin -Jin's actions and surroundings fit the mold of a quintessential "tragic hero," except for his lack of a tragic flaw. As with many tragedies, all of the major traumatic events that occur within the hero's life are wholly beyond his control. First and foremost, there's the fact that his grandfather and father are two of the most ruthless individuals who've ever lived. Secondly, his mother was cruelly and abruptly taken from him while he was still a helpless teen. Third, he was betrayed by his grandfather, whom he trusted deeply. Finally, the return of his great-grandfather, Jinpachi Mishima, has caused him to begin losing his internal struggle with the Devil within. Each of these occur to a helpless and unassuming Jin, who is simply doing what he can to set things right at every turn.
Jin's personality ranges from calm to angry at various moments, and his words and actions hint toward the bitterness within. He also has one personality trait which is common with many Japanese action heroes. Once Jin's mind is focused in any particular direction, it's very difficult to get him to change or even notice the events and people around him. People close to him, including Ling Xiaoyu and Hwoarang, are always going to extremes to gain Jin's attention, and yet, he rarely seems to notice. It is known, however, that he will help them if they need it, as Ling Xiaoyu's Tekken 4 profile and Hwoarang's Tekken 4 ending have shown.
Jin's disinterest in close relations probably has one unique motivation. As a result of his family's Devil Gene, Jin knows that people close to him will likely suffer--or worse--if he ever completely loses control. In addition, Jin may not show any interest in women because he plans to wipe out his lineage entirely. In short, during Tekken 4, Jin planned to kill his father and grandfather and then himself, dying without children to put an end to the Mishima curse once and for all. However, Jin could not go through with the deed after defeating his two predecessors, so it's unknown if he has given up on this plan completely since he saw the image of his mother Jun.
In addition, as of the 2005 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Jin's presence in a Tekken sequel was just about confirmed. Furthermore, he was shown in his human state, so this could be a good sign for the character's internal struggle. A while after this, Jin was confirmed to appear in the Tekken sequel, Tekken 6.

Trivia -
Jin Kazama has been voiced by Isshin Chiba since his debut.
In early screen showings of Tekken 3, many fans assumed the unnamed character of Jin Kazama to be Kazuya Mishima in his early teen years, due to their similarities. This, however, was not proven to be the case.
Jin is the only character to have won three Tekken Tournaments consecutively (Tekken 3 and Tekken 4 and Tekken 5) and also the only character who has won more than one tournament. He is also the youngest champion, being only nineteen years old when he won his first Tournament. Although Paul Phoenix defeated Ogre and felt as if he was the true winner, Ogre morphed into his true form, True Ogre, and the tournament continued in Paul's absence, with Jin challenging and eventually defeating him. One would also say that because Jin was captured by Heihachi's Tekken Force, Jin may not be considered as the winner of The King Of Iron Fist Tournament 4 (in this sense, that is actually true- Heihachi is actually the winner of the 4th Tournament, since portions of his, Kazuya's, and Jin's Tekken 4 endings are considered to be canon). However, it is generally accepted that because Jin defeated both Heihachi and Kazuya, he walked away as the unofficial winner of the Fourth King Of Iron Fist Tournament. In other words, Heihachi won the "tournament", but Jin ultimately won.
Ironically, it has only been the Mishimas who have won the tournaments thus far, with Jin's father as the winner of the first and Jin's grandfather as the winner of the second. (Jin goes by his last name "Kazama", but he is still part Mishima by blood) In Tekken 5, Jin outright wins The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 after defeating Jinpachi Mishima. After doing so Jin takes over the Mishima Zaibatsu. (see Jin's Tekken 5 ending)
While some fans consider Jin to be somewhat "one dimensional," he still has an incredible fan following.
Fans who like the concept of "fantasy relationships" have most often paired Jin and Xiaoyu as a possible couple. Others have seen Hwoarang and Jin to be homosexual lovers (due to their rather intriguing rivalry).
Jin's name is written in Japanese as 風間 仁(Kazama Jin) or かざま じん(Kazama Jin).
Jin's name translated into English is "Kazama benevolence."
In Tekken 3, Jin's stage was "Tiger Dojo Tokyo".
Jin was featured in all three of the Tekken 6 trailers. In the AOU trailer, he was only shown throwing a punch in the design phase. He appeared to be wearing an outfit similar to his hooded jumpsuit outfit.
In the E3 2005 trailer, he appears to be wearing his player 1 costume from Tekken 5.
In one of his outfits in Tekken 6, he appears to be wearing his player 1 costume from Tekken 3, but with minor changes, e.g. the height of the flames on his pants are about 1 inch above his knee and his gauntlets have a new design.
Most of his outfits have flames on it except for his school uniform, which was featured in Tekken 3 and Tekken Tag Tournament.
Jin's hairstyle could possibly be a mixture of Kazuya's hairstyle and Jun's fringes (bangs).
For some reason, he knew his father Kazuya is still alive.
In Tekken 3 and Tekken Tag Tournament, his fighting style is a mixture of Advanced Mishima Style Karate and Kazama Style self-defense. In Tekken 4, he unlearned the Mishima Style Karate. However, it is not yet mentioned if he also unlearned the Kazama style self-defense. Nevertheless, he still has Kazama moves like the Kazama style 5 hit combo.
Very little is known about his school life since he was more focused on ending the cursed Mishima bloodline.
In his ending in Tekken 4, he sees his mother, Jun. It could be more likely to be her spirit because Jin was interfered by somewhat like a light before he glances at her.
He is set to be the main protagonist in the film simply entitled "Tekken", which is to be released in 2009.
Jin Kazama was feautured in Tekken: The Motion Picture at the last part.
In Tekken 3, Jin's school uniform can be unlocked by playing a Jin 50 times and then selecting him with the start button. This also works with Ling Xiaoyu.
Jin is selectable in Tekken 4 after beating the game once.
One of Jin's costumes in Tekken 6 is what he wears in his Tekken 5 ending.

Armor King is a character in the Tekken fighting game series. Armor King has been in Tekken, Tekken 2, Tekken Tag Tournament, and Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection. Armor King was once the enemy of King I, but, eventually, they became very close friends. Armor King is King II's mentor and companion. He is part of a Mexican tribe who carries around the Jaguar masks that both King and Armor King wear. Armor King's left eye has been colored red ever since he left his jaguar tribe. Unfortunately, between the third and fourth tournament, Craig Marduk started a bar brawl in Arizona, and Armor King was killed. However, Armor King appears in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection. Whether this is the same Armor King, or a successor like the second King, is currently unknown, as very little information has been released about Armor King in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection.

Armor King does not speak. He only growls like a jaguar.
Armor King's sub-bosses are
King and Craig Marduk.
In Tekken, Tekken 2, and Tekken Tag Tournament, Armor King's alternate costume (chosen by pressing the "X" button or the "Circle" button while choosing Armor King) shows Armor King wearing blue armor instead of black, white, gray, and silver armor. However, in Tekken Tag Tournament, Armor King has a third costume which does not show him wearing armor. Also, in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, Armor King's alternate costume does not show him wearing armor. However, Armor King's costume that doesn't show him wearing armor in Tekken Tag Tournament and Armor King's costume that doesn't show him wearing armor in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection are different (the costume in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection has a white design on it, and the costume in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection shows Armor King wearing gloves).
In Tekken 1, Tekken 2, and Tekken Tag Tournament Armor Kings growls were much deeper than King. When Armor King was introduced in Tekken: Dark Resurrection his growls were exactly like King.

STORY- Tekken 1 -Armor King has travelled from one wrestling ring to another in search of a worthy opponent. He met his match in a Mexican village. They became bitter rivals for many years to come. Years ago, during a match, King made a mistake and smashed one of Armor King's eyes. Afterwards, King bathed in the spotlight of the Pro Wrestling World while Armor King went down the opposite road.

Tekken 2 -Unfortunately, a child died in King's arms after his orphanage was built. Soon after, King chose the path of a drunkard, stopped entering wrestling tournaments, and disappeared for large amounts of time. King felt as if he did not deserve to own the powers of the enchanted jaguar mask.
Armor King became worried for his friend / rival and intervened just in time, as King was at the edge of a breakdown. He eventually finds King drunk in an alley. Armor King threw the enchanted jaguar mask at his feet, and he told King of The King of Iron Fist Tournament 2 and his second chance at getting back up on his feet.
With that said, King came to his senses and began a furious training regime.

Tekken 3 -Years later, King was attacked and killed by Ogre. However, a new King, King 2nd, emerges. Armor King begins to train King II how to fight, how to use the enchanted mask, and how to use the mask against Ogre.

Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection -The mysterious masked wrestler, Armor King...
Just who is behind the steel armor and black jaguar mask and what do they seek?
The answer is veiled in mystery."
That is all that is said about him in his
Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection prologue. However, the game suggests that it might be THE Armor King who makes an appearance in the game. Although there is no mention of him being the original Armor King, his storyline has him fighting Craig Marduk, Armor King's supposed murderer, at Stage Four. A possibility is that the new Armor King is a successor of the original, well aware of Armor King's past history and with an agenda of avenging his teacher's death.
Armor King defeats
Jinpachi Mishima, and Jinpachi dissolves into dust while Armor King watches. After Jinpachi dissolves into dust, Armor King turns around and begins to walk away. As he walks away, he passes King 2nd, who is walking towards him. Armor King walks past him. Then, King runs up to him and tries to get his attention. Suddenly, Armor King kicks King in the stomach, grabs him, jumps high into the air, and piledrives him into the ground, head first. After King's body hits the ground, Armor King looks at him for a few seconds before walking away. King regains his strength after a few seconds and gets up off of the ground. Then, King says (growls), "I know that move from somewhere."
Note: Seeing as how Armor King attacks King II in his epilogue, it is suggested that he may be the successor of Armor King instead of being the original Armor King. If the original Armor King would have met King II here, he would probably have greeted King II a lot more friendlier. But seeing as Armor King's successor would not know much about the friendship between them, he would have attacked King II in that manner, but this is just speculation.

Tekken 6 -Armor King was featured in the latest trailer for Tekken 6. This confirms his appearance in Tekken 6. He was mostly shown fighting Leo in the trailer, but he also fought Asuka Kazama some. His story is unknown.
